Facilities - Distance Learning Classrooms

Upper level engineering courses for the collaborative engineering programs will be delivered over interactive video from University of Maryland, College Park to Frostburg State University.  FSU's distance learning classrooms are equipped with modern technology and allow for two-way voice and video communication between students and their instructor located a remote site.  

The Bell Atlantic distance learning classrooms feature state-of-the-art equipment, including:

• Fiber optics network

• Desktop microphones

• Eight monitors

• Document camera to broadcast transparencies

• Fax machine

• System computer

• Three remote control video cameras

• Crestron unit to control camera angle, microphone volume, and monitor display

• Two VCRs for recording and playback
