Student Designed Projects - Softball Pitching Machines

First-semester students in two sections of the Introduction to Engineering Design class were given the task of designing and constructing their own softball pitching machines. The students worked in groups of four or five to create a prototype that would be feasible, economical, reliable, and safe. Pictured above are different designs developed by two of the teams during Fall 2002.
