First-semester students in Section 102 of the Introduction to Engineering Design class spent the Fall 2002 semester designing, building, and testing their own wind-powered water pump. Four teams worked on the project, with each responsible for designing a different component of the end product (rotor, drive mechanism, support and pump). Pictured above are some of the students demonstrating their prototype.
