Access to Software
Students at Frostburg State University have
access to most computer software available for analytical and design
course work, through remote access to College Park from FSU's high end
computer laboratory.
High-End Computer Access
The Office of Academic Computing has a high-end computer laboratory
located in Pullen Hall. This lab is equipped with 14 Unix workstations
with 9 GB hard drives. Software includes includes Irix Operating System,
Netscape Communicator, web publishing programs, compilers, database
applications.
In addition, students have access to nine Unix machines
located within the Department of Physics and Engineering.
Microcomputer Access
Engineering students have access to microcomputers in Physics/Engineering
Department laboratories, as well as in open labs on the FSU campus which
house both IBM and Macintosh machines.
