Mission:
        To provide materials, services, and facilities necessary to meet the informational needs for the employees and other sources, particularly in the field of coal mining (historic and current), land restoration, and water protection.

Location and Accessibility:
        The Institute Information Resource Center (IIRC) is located on the campus of Frostburg State University in Dunkle Hall, room 315.

Parking:
        Parking is available on the Frostburg State University (FSU) campus. There is reserved parking available for vehicles displaying a disability license plate or hang tag. Please check with FSU campus security at the University Police Building on Loop Road or phone 310-687-4223 for further information.

Hours:
        The IRC is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm. Accessibility is also available through the Internet and upon request; the center can be opened at other times.

Circulation:
This center is designed to provide information and resources to the employees of the Maryland Bureau of Mines, the faculty and students of FSU, and to the general public. There is limited access to interlibrary loan, but there is a photocopier available and copies can be made for a small fee.
