Geography Student Groups

Gamma Theta Upsilion (GTU)
GTU is the Frostburg chapter of the International Geographic Honor Society.

Membership is open to all students who meet the following criteria:

1. Must have completed at least 3 geography courses
2. 3.3 cumulative grade point average
3. 3.3 grade point average in geography courses
4. Must have completed at least 3 semesters of college

Geography Club
Geography Club is open to all interested students.

Activities include:

• monthly meetings with presentations, potlucks, etc
• sponsored speakers
• community service such as stream clean ups
• outings, such as raft trips, caving, hiking, biking, rock climbing
