Geography Student Groups

Gama Theta Upsilion (GTU)
GTU is the Frostburg chapter of the International Geographic Honor Society. Membership is open to all students that meet the following criteria:

1. Must have completed at least 3 geography courses.
2. B average in geography courses.
3. 2.75 cumulative grade point average.
4. Must have completed at least 3 semesters of college.

Geography Club
Geography Club is open to all interested students.

Activities include:

• monthly meetings with presentations, potlucks, etc
• sponsored speakers
• community service such as stream clean ups
• outings, such as raft trips, caving, hiking, biking, rock climbing
