Welcome Back Barbecue!
University Honors Program, Center for International Education,and
Department of International Studies invite you to our annual Welcome
Back Barbecue on Wednesday, September 15, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. All
honors students are encouraged to attend. We will be featuring: London
broil, hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, sausages, fruits, salads,
cakes, pies, soda, and much more. The food will be great and we hope
to see you there!
Problems with Honors Computers
The office for the Honors Program has been suffering from computer
problems. We have been unable to send or receive any email from honorsprog@frostburg.edu
for the past three weeks. If you have been trying to contact the Honors
Program, please call 301. 687.4998 with any urgent questions or concerns.
Email should be up and running again shortly. We apologize for the
inconvenience.
The Capitol Steps
The Honors Program has several tickets available to Honors Students
interested in attending the play "Capitol Steps." The only
group in America that attempts to be funnier than Congress arrives
in Frostburg just in time for some election-year fun and asks Would
you rather see famous public figures or hear us make fun of them Tickets
are available at no cost, but are in a limited supply. If you are
interested, please call Judy Stott at 301.687.4714 by Monday, September
13. The play will be in the PAC Pealer Recital Hall on Thursday, September
16, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. Other selections from the Cultural Events Series
will be provided in a future newsletter.
Graduate School Fair
The Graduate School at the University of Maryland College Park invites
you to its Ninth Annual Maryland Graduate School Fair on Friday, October
1. The Fair will be held on the University of Maryland's campus from
8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Fair is open to all students and an important
goal of the Fair is to identify and recruit undergraduate students
of great promise for graduate study at College Park.
