U.S. State Department - Provides internship opportunities in an array of fields such as security, protocol, interior affairs, human rights, etc. Most internships will take place in Washington, D.C. and run at various times throughout the year. Washington Center for Internships - Helps students find internships in and around Washington, D.C. in almost any field. Internships may be in natural sciences, business, politics, mass communications, law, etc. The Washington Center Campus liaison may be reached at 1-800-486-8921. The Brookings Institute - Brookings is a Washington, D.C. based research center which can provide students valuable internships in economic research, foreign policy research, and communications. Potential interns are required to submit an application and may do this on the Brookings homepage. U.S. Federal Government Agencies Directory - Serves as an index and link to every U.S. Federal Government Agency. This is a good place to start when searching for an internship with the Federal Government. Jobnet Internships Website - Webpage devoted to internship links. Divided into categories by location, organization, and field of study. Idealist - Provides unpaid internships in anything from computer science to womenšs issues anywhere in the United States. Students interested in internships must sign up at the Idealist homepage. D.C. Jobs - A great website to find any job or internship within the district. Browsers may also post resumes on this sight. Students interested in internships must sign up at the Idealist homepage. Institute for Experiential Learning - Describes itself as the premier internship program in D.C. A great place to go when looking for internships at an embassy or in foreign relations. Students must apply for internships at the Institutešs homepage. FSU faculty must arrange for credit with the Institute. Williams-Mystic Internships Link - An internship link page and browser provided by the College of William and Mary. Provides links to both domestic and international internships.
