Faculty - Dr. Melissa Boehm: Biography

Dr. Melissa Boehm joined the
faculty at Frostburg State University in Fall 2010. Currently, she teaches Introduction to Mass Communication, Mass Communication Research Methods, and Creative Strategies for Media Buying. Her research interests include portrayals of poverty in news media with a specific focus on the intersections of gender, race, and place; the media reform movement; and alternative media.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, biking, hiking, and snowboarding.
