Charles "Chuck" Dicken has been the Program Director for WFWM Public Radio since May 1998 and an adjunct in the Department of Mass Communication since Fall 1998. He has an AA degree in Liberal Arts from Allegany Community College, a BS in History from Frostburg State University, and an MA in Irish Studies from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Mr. Dicken served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman and in the Maryland National Guard as a member of a Long Range Surveillance unit. In addition to his work in radio, Mr. Dicken has also been a personal assistant to Deputy Jim Mitchell of the Irish parliament and worked for the Sinn Fein party in Washington, DC. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Allegany Arts Council.
