Professor Pat Sullivan joined the staff of the Frostburg State University Mass Communication Department during the fall semester of 2005. During his time at Frostburg State University, he has taught audio production (MCOM 213), advanced audio production (MCOM 313), Music Promotion and Production (MCOM 465), and Telecommunications management (MCOM 316). Mr. Sullivan headed the Mind Culture Original Music project event during the spring of 2006, has served as a guest speaker in a number of Mass Communication classes, and served as a panelist for the Mass Communication Departments annual careers symposium. Professor Sullivan has voiced and recorded a number of promotional video projects for the Mass Communication Department and University in general, and continues to serve as a liason for FSU Mass Communication students working on internship opportunities and practicum experiences at his workplace. A veteran radio broadcaster since getting his start in 1977, Mr. Sullivan currently works for Allegany Radio Corporation as program director and afternoon drive-time announcer at WDYK-FM (Magic 100.5) in Cumberland. He also can be heard on WWLW-FM in Clarksburg, WV on the weekends. Sullivan has worked at area stations including WQZK-FM / WKLP-AM in Keyser, WV and WROG-FM / WCMD-AM in Cumberland, MD, where he held various job titles and duties and hosted radio programs during all dayparts. He has also been employed by Radio Active. Mr. Sullivan also is the founding member of The Channel Cats Blues Band, in which he plays bass guitar and provides vocals. The band has performed throughout the mid-Atlantic region since the mid 1980s and has performed numerous times in a benefit setting for the FSU Mass Communication Department. The band released its eponymous first album in 2006. A performance from December 2006 can presently be seen in rotation on FSU-TV3. Sullivan also is an executive board member of the Cumberland Hot Stove Baseball League and serves as the public relations director for Cresaptown United Methodist Church in Cresaptown, Maryland. He is married to his wife, Jo Lynn and together have a son, Brendan.

such as media and broadcasting operations, theory and perception of
programming, performance, marketing, advertising, current issues and
topics, ratings and creative concepts.
