Dr. John J. Lombardi:
Dr. Lombardi has been at Frostburg State University since the Fall 2000 semester. During his time at FSU he has taught numerous classes including audio and video production courses, theory, research, writing, media programming, introduction to mass communication, and a course on current issues and new technologies.
Additionally, Dr. Lombardi advises the Moonlight Media Productions student organization, serves on numerous college and university committees, and serves as Co-Chair of the Department of Communication.
Prior to coming to FSU, Dr. Lombardi taught, for two years, at Western Carolina University in North Carolina. He also taught during his doctoral coursework at The University of Tennessee and during his master's coursework at Arkansas State University.
Dr. Lombardi was born in Baltimore where he lived before starting high school. He then moved to Virginia and later earned his bachelor's degree from James Madison University.
With his wife Melanie, Dr. Lombardi resides in the Cumberland area. In his spare time he enjoys skiing,
hiking, traveling, and photography.
