Dr. Marcus Hill:

Dr. Marcus Hill

Dr. Marcus Antonio Hill is a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication at Frostburg State University. His research interests span the construction of race, gender, and sexuality in mass media and society, Black popular culture, advertising, mobile and social media, and the Black consumer market. Dr. Hill has presented research at conferences of the International Communication Association, National Communication Association, Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association, and National Council for Black Studies. Dr. Hill's forthcoming book titled " 'Hey there, Hot Chocolate! Say there Jezebel!' The Black Woman’s Sexuality for Sale in Slavery, American Pop Culture, and Prostitution" will be released in 2015 through Lexington Books. 
 

Dr. Hill currently teaches Introduction to Mass Communication, Introduction to Public Relations, and Mass Communication Research Methods.
