Dr. Marcus Hill:

Dr. Marcus Hill

Dr. Marcus Hill arrived to Frostburg State University in the fall 2014 semester. Dr. Hill hails from the nation's capital, Washington, DC where he grew up on Capitol Hill, one of Washington, DC's oldest neighborhoods. Dr. Hill attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, the first public high school for African Americans in the US. 

 

Dr. Hill earned his Bachelor's and Master's degree from Syracuse University, and his Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Howard University. Currently, Dr. Hill is working on his first book "Hey there, Hot Chocolate! Say there Jezebel!" The Black Women's Sexuality for Sale in Slavery, American Pop Culture, and Prostitution. The book is set for a 2017 release date through Lexington Books. 

 

In his spare time Dr. Hill enjoys exploring the outdoors, automobiles, racing, traveling, reading, experiencing different cultures, and listening to new music.
