The Department of Management at Frostburg State University
is home to the undergraduate Business Administration
program and the graduate Master of Business Administration/Master
of Science in Nursing Administration programs. This web site

- Business Administration. This program
is designed to prepare students to pursue careers in the management,
finance, and marketing aspects of organizations. The objective of the
program is to develop potential managers who have the knowledge necessary
for today's rapidly changing, unpredictable business environment, as
well as the skills to apply this knowledge in an appropriate basis.
Focuses on developing; critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving
skills. Emphasizes teaching and developing strong student-faculty relationships.
Strives to develop present students into future leaders.
The Business Administration program at FSU provides many unique advantages

- Master of Business Administration(MBA)/Master

Internships
Opportunities for internships and independent study in areas of specific
interest to the student are available. Recent internships have been held
at Merrill Lynch, United Parcel Company, JC Penney, Legg-Mason, First
National Bank of Maryland, U.S. Navy Department, Holiday Inn, Bell Atlantic,
and Potomac Edison. Internships have encompassed all areas of business
operations including marketing, finance, advertising, and general management.
Career Opportunities
Excellent opportunities for employment are available to the business administration
graduate. Many graduates have been employed by organizations such as AT&T,
Xerox, Carnation, Proctor and Gamble, Potomac Edison, Pitney-Bowes, Burroughs,
National Electric Contractors Association, U.S. Department of Defense,
Social Security Administration, General Accounting Office, and many others.
Recent graduates have entered the work force directly
or have pursued their graduate studies at institutions such as Penn State,
University of Maryland, University of Pittsburgh, West Virginia University,
Harvard University, and Northwestern University.
