Jazz Saxophone; Director of Jazz Combo






Saxophonist Bill Green performs with groups regularly throughout the tri-state region, and has taught private saxophone and flute lessons for over 7 years. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in music performance with a jazz concentration at Towson University in 2008, studying saxophone with Professor Jeff Antoniuk.  Mr. Green continued his studies participating in the internationally renowned University of North Texas Jazz Studies program.  There he earned a Master of Music Degree with a concentration in jazz performance in 2011 while studying with Professor Brad Leali.  In addition, Mr. Green graduated in 2013 from Frostburg State University with a B.A. in Music Education.

He currently directs the Cumberland Jazz Society Big Band and has performed with many groups in the tri-state area including the Chinese Bandits and the Bill Green Quartet.  He has also performed extensively in the Baltimore/Washington and Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan areas, performing in a wide variety of genres from Jazz, Reggae, Afrobeat and Motown to Jacque Ibert’s Concerto de Camera for saxophone and small orchestra.
