Each fall the International relations club leads a delegation of Frostburg State students to partcipate in the University of Pennsylvania Model United Nations Conference (UPMUNC) held in Philidelphia. This past year, over 1,000 delegates from 80 top universities participated in the Model UN. Each year UPMUNC meets to debate current and enduring issues in international politics. This year, UPMUNC will be offering “committees such as a Historical General Assembly, the Union of the Mediterranean, Weimar Germany, the popular West Wing show, and the UN Platform for Space-based Information for Disaster Management and Emergency Response (UN SPIDER).”
UPMUNC is held in downtown Philidelphia at the Sheraton of Center City. Every year delegates enjoy the magnificent historic sights of the city as well as social events and the Philidelphia night life.
