In addition to the general financial aid and scholarships available at Frostburg State University, the Political Science department currently offers three scholarship opportunities to Political Science and Justice Studies majors.
Each year the department offers the C. Walter Howe Memorial Scholarship to a declared Political Science major. The student must be a junior at the time of application, with an overall G.P.A. of 3.0 and departmental G.P.A. of 3.25 or above. Preference will be given to applicants showing an interest in civil rights, affirmative action or other contemporary issues.
Each year the Political Science Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a declared major in political science with demonstrated interest in civic affairs. More Information
Each year the Paul J. Creamer Scholarship is awarded to a declared major in political science with demonstrated academic ability. More Information
Applicants must be enrolled full-time at FSU with a declared political science major. The student will be a junior or senior at the time the award is received with 60 or more credit hours. The recipient must have an overall G.P.A. of at least 3.5. Applicants must demonstrate participation in community service activities in their hometown and/or Western Maryland region as evidenced in application essay. More Information
