Amy has been dancing for over 30 years, teaching for 21 years, and has been a studio owner for 15 years of Frostburg Dance Academy and is Excutive Director of the Miss Frostburg Dance scholarship pagent. She is a graduate from Frostburg State University with a B.S. in Dance and Social Science with a minor in Psychology. Griffith has particpated in workshops with DanceMakers, Martha Graham Intensive, Al Gilbert, Nai-Ni Chen, Body Mind Centering, Philadanco, LA Dance Force, ACDF, Dena Rizzo, Tommy Alexander, Dance Masters, Showstoppers, and Broadway Dance Center as well as performing in PA, MD, NE, WV, VA, FLA, HI, OH, NC, and Wash. DC. She was Maryland Distinguished Scholar Finalist in dance and was named Distinguished Women of the Year in 2000, and has been recognized by Dance Teacher and Dance Studio Life Magazine for her studio's dedication to volunteerism. Amy is a member of both Professional Dance Teachers Association (PDTA) and DAnce Masters of America (DMA), and continues to study the art form of dance to better herself and her studio. Amy has had the honor of appearing as a guest artist, Master Teacher and Judge in MD, PA, and FLA. She is also an adjunct teacher in the Dance Department of FSU. Her students have acquired numerous awards in dance, scholastics, and pageants at local, regional, state , and national levels. Students of Ms. Griffith have performed and competed in PA, MD, OH, VA, SC, Ireland, Aloha Bowl, Boscovs Thanksgiving Day Parade, National Cherry Blossom Parade and St. Patrick's Day Parade in Ireland.
