Adjunct Dance Faculty Susan Manger studied on full scholarship at the Washington School of the Ballet with master teachers Mary Day, Lupe Serrano, Patricia Berrend, Rex Bickmore, and Kevin McKenzie. With the Washington Ballet Young Dancers (apprentice company to the Washington Ballet), she appeared frequently at the Kennedy Center, the White House, the Warner Theatre, and the Smithsonian Institution in masterpieces such as 'Swan Lake, act II', 'Les Sylphides', and 'Paquita', and with the Washington Ballet in Balanchine's 'The Four Temperaments' and Petipa's 'The Nutcracker'. She has studied on scholarship at seasonal programs in New York City at the Isadora Duncan Center of Contemporary Dance and at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance. Susan is also a certified instructor of Stott Pilates, and received her training at the Pilates Center of New York and at the Stott Pilates headquarters in Toronto, Ontario.
