    STOTT Pilates Level I Matwork
Learn how active awareness of the muscles of your core can help you to realize the full benefits of any exercise program. This mat-based workout helps participants to develop leaner, longer-looking muscles, establish core strength and stability, and heighten mind-body awareness. Clients will learn the Five Basic Principles of STOTT PILATES®: proper breathing, pelvic placement, ribcage placement, shoulder girdle and scapula stability, and positioning of the head and neck. These five biomechanical principles raise awareness of how the body moves and ensure focus on precision and control. The class takes clients through a dynamic, full-body workout that focuses on improving flexibility and core strength with exercises that stretch and tone all muscle groups.
