KILTED ROCK AT FROSTBURG STATE WITH COYOTE RUN!
"Imagine Jethro Tull on Broadway and you start to get the picture." -
— Sam McDonald, Music Editor,
Daily Press, Norfolk, VA
Celtic powerhouse Coyote Run will bring their signature and highly literate Celtic Rock to the Lane University Center Patio on Sunday, September 28 at Noon. Touring in support of their new CD, Between Wick and Flame,
Coyote Run's theatrical performances have been igniting stages nationwide. This is a band that
loves Celtic music - loves their audiences - and knows how to have a rollicking good time!
Given that their founder and lead singer has been a professor for many years, it is no surprise that
this band has come to be known as "the thinking person's Celtic Rock band.” Coyote Run
headlines and performs in major Celtic festivals, concert halls, clubs and pubs throughout the
United States, as well as tours of Ireland and Scotland.
"If the Red Hot Chili Peppers wore ilts...they might sound something like this band,” says Mike
Farragher of the Irish Voice. Gene Shay of Philadelphia’s WXPN commented after hearing the
band that they represented the “take no prisoners approach to Celtic music," and Art Ketchen of
the magazine Celtic Beat, writes that “Listening to Coyote Run makes me think of a
large...library, where every book you open gives you a view of something fascinating.”
Their CDs, Between Wick and Flame, Places, Coyote Run Pleads the Fifth, Tend the Fire,
Coyote Run, Full Throttle Celtic, and Don’t Hold Back are currently available through their
website (www.coyoterun.com) and through a variety of internet retailers including
Amazon.com, the iTunes music store, and barnesandnoble.com.
Coyote Run is David Doersch, Catherine Hauke, Doug Bischoff, Michael Kazalski, and Zachary
Williamson. The band’s webpage has photos, upcoming dates and bio information on the band
members. You can find their websites at: www.coyoterun.com and myspace.com/coyoterunband.
