10:45 – 11:15    Faction Meetings 

11:15 – 12:30    Game Session 1: Literary Forum (all characters speak on Douglass’s Narrative)

12:30 – 1:30       Lunch

1:30 – 2:15          Plenary: Student Experiences with RTTP in the Classroom and Beyond

2:15 – 2:25          Break

2:25 – 3:25          Game Session 1 continued:  The Literary Forum, resumed

3:25 – 3:35          Break

3:35 – 4:30          Plenary Session: Role Playing, Double Consciousness, and American Racism

Location:  FSU Cordts PE Center, Hall of Fame

4:30 –5:00           Break (cash bar will be available in the Hall of Fame)

5:00 – 7:30pm   Game Session 2:  Banquet in Honor of John C. Calhoun of South Carolina

Dinner will be provided to all participants

Day 2 Feb 17, 2013

10:15 – 11:00    Game Session 3: Debate on the Constitution: Is It “a Pact with the Devil”?

11:00 – 11:10    Break

11:10 –12:00     Game Session 3 continued:  Debate on the Constitution resumed

12:00 – 1:00       Lunch

1:00 – 1:40          Game Session 4: Debriefing – responses to our play of the Douglass Game

1:40  – 1:55         Break  & Mending Fences

1:55 – 2:30          Closing Plenary: Reacting to the Past in our classes and in students’ lives.  

In case of extreme weather the conference will be rescheduled for March 2 and 3 in the Lyric Theater.
