Frostburg State University recently completed Staking Our Claim: The Campaign for Frostburg, exceeding its $15 million goal by $1.7 million for a campaign total of $16.7 million.

Some significant milestones of the campaign include gifts from 5,611 donors who had previously never given to FSU, including 580 gifts of more than $1,000 each; a significant increase in donors paying by credit card, online or automatically through electronic funds transfer; and 40 new members of the Old Main Society, a group of individuals who have included FSU in their estate planning.

The successful completion of Staking Our Claim heralds what I believe is truly a new era for Frostburg, an opportunity for all of us to define a new future for the University. We can and should continue this amazing momentum that has allowed us to exceed expectations and to ensure FSU’s students can afford the quality education they deserve. Raising more money for merit scholarships to attract academic achievers, increasing financial support for FSU Athletics and continuing to grow our unrestricted gifts are just a few areas where we can excel in the years to come.

We all play a role in how we can take FSU to the next level. I invite you to be involved in this tremendous effort to support the leadership, scholarship and growth of students at FSU.

The Frostburg State University Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support the goals and objectives of Frostburg State University. The Board of Directors, which consists of a group of private citizens and alumni of the University, works diligently to raise private money through philanthropy in support of the University’s Strategic Plan. These incredibly dedicated and caring people give of their time freely and without hesitation to raise money for scholarships and other initiatives that directly benefit students, faculty and staff of the University.

It is my hope that you will find this website useful and that you will utilize its resources as you consider how you personally might contribute to the mission of Frostburg.
