A message from the Contributors

Charles “Charlie” Griffin transferred to Frostburg State University form a community college in Baltimore. Although he only attended FSU for two years, graduating in 1970, he made a place for himself.

While enrolled at FSU he played football, was a member of the National Guard and became a member of Sigma Tau Gamma and served as president his senior year. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree with a major in health & physical education.

Charlie had many friends, had a huge heart and as a teacher and coach made a positive impact on his students and players.

Charlie died June 30, 2005 in Greensboro, NC while jogging.
