Range/ Distribution Map

Habitat description: Dry plains in North East Africa.

Behavior/Diet: Herbivore. Typically feed in early morning and late afternoon and sometimes at night. They can survive for weeks without water. Sociable in herds of up to 200.

Conservation Status: Near Threatened. Threats are poaching and habitat loss.

Fun Fact:

New born calves are able to run with the herd right after birth.
