Habitat description: Mountain lions live in forests and mountainous regions in the Rocky and Andes mountains.

Behavior, Diet: Carnivore. The mountain lions main prey are deer, elk, and beavers. They are solitary. When they are born they are blind and rely solely on their mothers until they can see. Adaptive to the environment around them.

Conservation status: Listed as a least concern.

Fun facts:

Biggest species of wild cat that is native to the Americas. "Black Panthers" are usually dark furred cougars, but can also be melanistic jaguars, depending on location.
