Habitat description: In woody vegetation such as dry brush in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Somalia.
Behavior/Diet: Herbavore. Eats different kinds plants, except grass, and stand on their hind legs to reach higher leaves. The males are fairly solitary while the females are more socialable living in small groups.
Conservation Status: Listed as a least concern. Biggest threat being habitat loss.
The Gerenuk needs very little water and may not drink within their lifetime.
