About FSU-TV3

FSU-TV3 is Frostburg State University's 24-hour educational access channel that reaches nearly 5,000 homes in the Frostburg area and also FSU students on the basic tier on Comcast's cable system. It is programmed and operated by students in the Department of Mass Communication during the Fall, Intersession and Spring semesters.

FSU-TV3 presents programming produced by the students in the Department of Mass Communication.  These shows include documentaries; "Down To Earth"; "Bobcast"; FSU Music Department and other concerts; guest speakers; multi-camera events such as panel discussions; FSU football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, lacrosse games; and Frostburg City Council Meetings.

Our other programming comes from sources such as NASA and PEGMEDIA.ORG.  When FSU-TV3 isn't airing programming, it carries a message board with announcements about Frostburg State University events and events for local non-profit groups and activities.

The Frostburg studio is equipped with state of the art equipment, including a Broadcast Pix Slate 2 ME 5008GDD production switcher with the Fluent workflow, three JVC GY-HD250U High Definition cameras, two 15" professional color LCD prompters, as well as lighting and audio equipment. The 11 station Mac video editing lab furnished with the industry standard editing software Final Cut Pro Studio and Adobe CS6 Master Suite.
