Major: Business Administration, Music

Minor:

Year: Senior

Hometown: Charlotte Hall, MD

High School: Chopticon High School, Class of 2009

Why FSU?
I have always been Frostburg bound. My sister attended FSU almost 20 years ago so I was in a Frostburg sweat shirt before I could walk. In high school I was very involved in choir. I was recruited by Dr. Karen Soderberg, the Chorale Director at FSU. I loved her work and knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of FSU's music department. Even after I changed my major I was very happy with all of my teachers. They were very helpful when I had to figure out my class schedule.

How I stay involved:
While at Frostburg State, I've been heavily involved with Chamber Choir. We put on at least three performances a semester, and in the Spring will travel around Maryland to try to get to know some of the potential Frostburg students. In addition to this group, I have held numerous positions in the co-ed music Fraternity Delta Omicron. I am now music director of the group and am in charge of organizing recitals every semester. I love the tight-knit community I've become a part of at FSU. I've even had the opportunity to branch out and be a member of the Global Business Department. I used my leadership and communication skills to help create the Global Business Club. It's great to know that I made my mark on Frostburg.

Life after the Burg:
After college I plan on going to Graduate school for either Conducting or Environmental Sustainability. With either of those degrees I can organize my own choir, or create a business that helps shape the future of our country.
