Why FSU?
I answer this question every time I tell someone new my hometown. Most times people are very confused by the fact that I decided to leave Hawaii to attend school in the cold mountains of Frostburg. I was not completely sure if I really wanted to go to college on the mainland, but I decided to check a few out anyway. Frostburg was one of the schools that I came to visit during my senior year. I loved how incredibly different it was from what I was used to. I knew that by attending school here I would be open to so many new experiences. Another big reason that I chose FSU was because of the great faculty. They kept in contact with me all throughout my senior year, and really made me feel welcome and excited for Frostburg. By the time my acceptance letter came, I knew that Frostburg was where I wanted to be, even if it is thousands of miles from home.
How I stay involved:
Student Coordinator of V-Day Organization, Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, Data Entry for Admissions, and Bobcat Ambassadors
Life after the Burg:
I plan to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Economics. Eventually I would like to get my CPA. I completed an internship with a public accounting firm, and they have offered me a full time position once I graduate. I am very confident that everything I have learned and will continue to learn here at Frostburg will help me in all of my future endeavors. I would not trade my experiences at Frostburg for anything.
