FSU Summer Music Academy to Feature Daily Concerts by Guest Artists

Daily concerts by world-class classical musicians are a highlight of the Frostburg State University Department of Music’s Summer Music Academy. The concerts, presented each day from Sunday, July 10, through Friday, July 15, will be capped off by a gala concert featuring academy students. All concerts are open to the public and will be held in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center.

The awards recognize the exceptional artistic achievements of talented artists from across the state.

Dr. Heather Gable, chair of Frostburg State University’s Department of Nursing and an associate professor, has been awarded the Regents’ Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching, the highest honor that the University System of Maryland Board of Regents bestows to recognize exemplary faculty achievement. She will be honored at the April 15 meeting of the board.

Adelphi, MD (Feb. 16, 2016)—The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents has appointed Ronald Nowaczyk as president of Frostburg State University (FSU), one of USM’s 12 institutions. Nowaczyk is provost and vice president for academic affairs at Clarion University in Pennsylvania. He will join Frostburg as president on May 9, 2016.
