FSU Snags World-Renowned Musicians for Second Annual Appalachian Festival
Jay Ungar and Molly Mason, one of the most celebrated duos on the American acoustic music scene, will treat Western Maryland to an evening of entertainment as part of Frostburg State University’s Second Annual Appalachian Festival Sept. 21 and 22. The festival, which celebrates the region’s natural landscape, history, culture, food and musical and artistic traditions, will highlight the talents of the two performers during a concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Palace Theatre on Main Street in downtown Frostburg. The concert will cap off a bounty of weekend festivities, including presentations, workshops, arts and crafts demonstrations and various children’s activities held throughout the day on FSU’s Upper Quad.
