Frostburg State University Featured in “The Princeton Review’s Guide to 332 Green Colleges: 2014 Edition”

Frostburg State University has been designated one of the 332 most environmentally responsible colleges in the United States and Canada, according to The Princeton Review ( The education services company profiled FSU in the fifth annual edition of its free downloadable book, “The Princeton Review’s Guide to 332 Green Colleges.” This is the third time, and the second year in a row, that FSU has been featured in the guide.

Dow Named Associate Dean of Frostburg State University College of Education

Dr. Roger Dow, a professor in the Department of Educational Professions at Frostburg State University, has been named associate dean of FSU’s College of Education by Dean Dr. Clarence Golden. Dow has served as acting associate dean since July of 2013.

FSU Faculty Member Dr. Robert Kauffman Honored With USM Award for Public Service

Dr. Robert Kauffman, a professor in the Frostburg State University Department of Recreation and Parks Management, has been awarded the Regents’ Faculty Award for Public Service, the highest honor that the University System of Maryland Board of Regents bestows to recognize exemplary faculty achievement. He will be honored at the April meeting of the board.

Frostburg State University Football To Join New Jersey Athletic Conference

PITMAN, N.J. – Frostburg State University, along with Christopher Newport University, Salisbury University and Wesley College recently agreed to become associate football members of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) beginning in the 2015-16 academic year. In addition, Southern Virginia will be an affiliate member of the NJAC starting in the fall of 2014 and will elevate to associate member in 2015-16.

Fitzgerald Named Frostburg Football Coach

Frostburg State University director of athletics Troy A. Dell has announced that DeLane Fitzgerald has been selected as the school's head football coach following a national search in January. Fitzgerald will be the 13th head coach in the 54-year history of the Bobcat football program.
