CES at Frostburg State University continues its 60th anniversary season with a spring lineup of award-winning musicians and professional artists from around the world. Performers include French songstress Cyrille Aimée, contemporary violinist Daniel Davis, the Buddhist monks of the Drepung Loseling Monastery, the a cappella group The Filharmonic, the Irish musicians of the Brock McGuire Band, jazz musician Dr. Lonnie Smith, and Russian pianist Yuliya Gorenman, who will join the Maryland Symphony Orchestra in a celebration of Beethoven.

Frostburg State University will celebrate student achievements of the fall 2016 graduating class with the 149th Commencement ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m. The ceremony for the colleges of Business, Education and Liberal Arts and Science will take place in the Main Arena of the Cordts Physical Education Center.

In addition to the baskets filled with food, including a turkey, ham or a gift card to cover the purchase of a turkey or ham, $400 in extra gift certificates were donated.
The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education has accredited two of Frostburg State University’s online nursing programs, granting initial accreditation for its new online Master of Science in Nursing program and giving continuing accreditation for the popular Bachelor of Science in Nursing completion program.
