Baseball to Host AMCC Tournament This Weekend

FROSTBURG, Md. — After winning the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament title as the No. 4 seed last season, Frostburg State will look to capture the crown as this year’s top seed when it hosts the four-team double-elimination championship this weekend at Bobcat Field.

The Bobcats (28-11, 17-1 AMCC) open the competition Friday morning at 9:00 am when they face No. 4 seed Pitt-Bradford (22-12, 12-6). FSU won both regular-season meetings, 8-2 and 5-4, in Frostburg.

In Friday’s second game, No. 2 Penn State Behrend (24-14, 12-6) squares off against No. 3 La Roche (22-14, 12-6). The teams split their regular-season meetings, with Penn State Behrend losing game one 6-5 but rebounding to take game two 12-2.

Game 1: #1 Frostburg State vs. #4 Pitt-Bradford 9:00 am

Saturday, May 14:
Game 4: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2 9:00 am
Game 5: Winner Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4 12:00 noon
Game 6: Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5 3:00 pm

Sunday, May 15:
Game 7: Same as Game 6 (if needed)
