FROSTBURG, MD —
The Frostburg State basketball programs have three players ranked among the leaders in this week’s Division III national statistics.
From the women’s team, senior Stephanie Watts (Baltimore, Md./North County) is second in the nation with 4.9 steals per game while junior Krystin Hargrove (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) ranks 60th with 3.0 per contest.
As a team, the women are ranked 57th, 68th and 97th in field goal percentage (42.5), scoring offense (69.1) and scoring margin (8.4), respectively.
Senior Dan Ryley (Frederick, Md./St. John's Prospect Hall) is the lone men’s player in the national rankings, holding down the 58th spot with 8.9 rebounds per contest.
The men’s team is 82nd in NCAA Division III with a free throw percentage of 71.2.
The women’s team travels to Johns Hopkins today for the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Southern Women’s Basketball Championship beginning at 7:00 pm.
