Frostburg State blanked Lake Erie, 9-0, in its final Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match of the season Friday at Penn State Altoona. The Bobcats improved to 13-0 overall and finished a perfect 8-0 in the AMCC.
Sophomore Gene Cutter and freshman Jacob Cook paired for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles, and freshman Justin Stephens and junior Terence Killen followed with an 8-0 victory at the second flight.
FSU had no trouble in singles action, as Cook, Stevens and Killen each turned in 6-0, 6-0 wins at the Nos. 2-4 flights, respectively. Sophomore Gene Cutter posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the top singles spot.
The Bobcats also picked up default wins at Nos. 5 and 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
Frostburg State returns to action tomorrow at the AMCC Championship Tournament to be held at Penn State Altoona.
