DOVER, DE —
Frostburg State junior quarterback Grant Burrough (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright)
has been named the Atlantic Central Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week after his outstanding performance in Saturday's 24-17 come-from-behind win over Westminster.
Burrough, who has garnered the award for three straight weeks, completed 28-of-51 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. He was 23-of-40 for 288 yards and all three scoring strikes in the second alone as Frostburg State overcame a 14-3 halftime deficit.
Burrough compiled 354 yards of total offense on the day and now has a school-record 2,434 this season.
Burrough has set five single-game and two single-season school records this year, and he needs one more touchdown pass to tie the FSU all-time mark of 39 held by Jobie Waldt and Jason Henry.
Wesley sophomore linebacker Chris Horsey was named the ACFC Defensive Player of the Week after posting 17 tackles, including 12 solos, three for loss and a sack, in a 22-19 loss to 20th-ranked Salisbury.
Salisbury freshman defensive lineman Andrew Deming took home the ACFC Rookie of the Week award after making six tackles, including three for loss and two sacks, in the victory over Wesley.
