Frostburg State sophomore quarterback Grant Burrough (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright)
and junior defensive lineman George O'Brien (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore)
were honored today by the Atlantic Central Football Conference for their performances in the Bobcats' 55-24 win over Chowan.
Burrough was named the ACFC Offensive Player of the Week after throwing a career-high three touchdown passes and adding two rushing scores as the Bobcats tallied their most points since a 60-3 win over Greensboro on October 4, 1997.
Burrough completed 13-of-17 passes for 134 yards and ran six times for 30 yards. He threw a 66-yard touchdown pass on the game's second play from scrimmage and ran in from two and 11 yards to help the Bobcats build a 21-0 lead less than 10 minutes into the game.
O'Brien took home ACFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after recording a team-high eight tackles, including two for loss and 1.5 sacks. He leads the Bobcats with 6.0 sacks this year.
Apprentice freshman Trae Hille was named the ACFC Rookie of the Week after posting 10 tackles, a forced fumble and a pass breakup in a 41-15 loss to Methodist.
