CAST, the Cambridge University American Stage Tour, will bring William Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale” to Frostburg State University on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 7:30 in the Performing Arts Center’s Pealer Recital Hall.
Directed and produced entirely by members of the student body, this year’s offering is sure to captivate audiences. One of his latest plays, “The Winter’s Tale” is one of Shakespeare’s most enchanting and moving works. It is a tragic tale of redemption and jealousy, set within a vibrant but dangerous wonderland of the paranoid King Leontes.
Since 1999, CAST has sent the brightest theatrical talent from Cambridge University, England, across the Atlantic to perform Shakespeare to audiences in the United States.
Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for the general public. For information or reservations, call (301) 687-4145.
This event is being sponsored by the FSU Department of English, with support from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Office of the Provost and the FSU Foundation Inc.
