Frostburg, Md. ... Junior Lauren Crystal and sophomore Jessie Bley each captured three individual events and were part of the winning 200-meter freestyle relay as the Bobcat women's swimming and diving team downed the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, 149-109, Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Natatorium.

Frostburg State won 12 of the 14 events, including the last 11, to pull away to the convincing win. The Bobcats had one swimmer facing three Gators in four of the races.

The Gators opened the meet by claiming the 200m medley relay before Bley captured the 800m freestyle in 10:42.77. Senior Valerie Stork, swimming in her final home meet for the Bobcats, finished second in 11:20.46.

The Bobcats then received second and third-place finishes in the 200m freestyle from freshman Kristin Stromko (2:44.85) and junior Alex Morrison (2:46.75) before sophomore Siona Walsh (1:17.05 in the 100m backstroke) and junior Laura Jacquette (1:30.25 in the 100m breaststroke) posted consecutive wins.

Morrison followed by capturing the 200m butterfly in 3:02.63, and Crystal recorded back-to-back wins in the 50m and 100m freestyles (29.03 and 1:05.10, respectively). Walsh then posted a 2:50.15 to claim the 200m backstroke before Stork took home the 200 breaststroke in 3:12.79.

Bley kept the streak rolling by winning the 400m freestyle in 5:16.90, and Crystal picked up her third victory of the day with a 1:19.31 in the 100m butterfly.

The 400m individual medley featured the most exciting finish of the meet, as Bley overtook Notre Dame's Cori Manley on the final stroke to pull out the win, 6:00.54 to 6:00.65. Crystal, Walsh, Stork and Bley then capped the afternoon by capturing the 200m freestyle relay in 2:06.23.

In exhibition diving, Bobcat junior Cindy Reese set a personal record with a score of 207.5.
