NEWPORT NEWS, VA —
Frostburg State senior All-America defensive end Kevin Culbert (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley)
and freshman linebacker Moses Fokou (Rockville, Md./Bullis)
earned weekly honors from the Atlantic Central Football Conference for their performances in a 14-0 win over Apprentice Saturday.
Culbert was named the ACFC Co-Defensive Player of the Week after making a game-high 14 tackles, including 5.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks.
He shared the honor with Salisbury senior linebacker Brad DeHaven, who had eight tackles, including 4.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and a 22-yard interception return in a 46-21 thrashing of nationally ranked Brockport.
Fokou earned ACFC Rookie of the Week honors after a strong collegiate debut. He made 10 tackles, including one for loss and a half sack in the shutout win against Apprentice.
Salisbury junior quarterback Dustin Johnson took home the ACFC Offensive Player of the Week award after throwing for 95 yards and two touchdowns and running for another 159 yards and a score.
Salisbury junior kicker Brock Boland was chosen the ACFC Special Teams Player of the Week after kicking a pair of field goals, hitting 4-of-5 extra points and placing six of his nine kickoffs inside the Brockport five yardline.
