Frostburg State redshirt-senior defensive end Kevin Culbert (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley)
was named the Atlantic Central Football Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week
and freshman punt returner Brandon Tann (Accokeek, Md./Gwynn Park)
earned ACFC Special Teams Player of the Week
honors Monday for their stellar performances in a 45-9 Homecoming win over Seton Hill this past Saturday.
Culbert took home a share of his fifth weekly ACFC award this year after pacing the Bobcat defense with 11 tackles, including seven for losses of 40 yards and a career-best 4.5 sacks for 39 yards.
He now has 66 tackles, 27.0 tackles for losses of 153 yards and 15.5 sacks for 122 yards on the season.
Tann set a school record with 131 yards on four punt returns and ignited the Bobcats with a 75-yard return for touchdown late in the first quarter.
He also had returns of five, 20 and 31 yards and added two tackles on special teams.
Frostburg State (4-3) returns to action this Saturday when it visits Westminster (3-4) for a non-conference game. Kickoff is 1 pm.
