FROSTBURG, MD —
Seniors Kim Faust (Upper Dublin/Ft.Washington, Pa.)
and Heather Kanowicz
have been selected to participate in the 2002 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III North/South Senior All-Star Game.
Faust, who was named to the All-Star South Squad, set an FSU school record this season for most goals scored in a regular-season with 23. In Division III statistics, she currently ranks first in goals scored, second in overall points with 54 and 8th on the points per game list. She has 71 goals and 28 assists in her career.
Kanowicz, who was selected as an alternate, has started every game the last two seasons at FSU. This season she scored three goals and had two assists. She has eight goals and three assists in her career.
Head Coach Nicole Bonvouloir says she is glad her players will be representing FSU at the game.
"It's great representation for us and if Kim plays like she did all season, she should do well at the game."
This year's game will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 5:30 p.m. on the campus of Springfield College in
Springfield, Mass.The contest will be held in conjunction with the NCAA Division III Championship.
