Faust Becomes 10th Player in FSU Women's Basketball History to Record 500 Rebounds
FROSTBURG, MD —
Frostburg State junior Kim Faust (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin) became just the 10th player in Bobcat women's basketball history to record 500 career rebounds last weekend in the FSU "Showdown in Snowdown" Tournament.
Faust grabbed six boards in FSU's 79-41 win over Hilbert Friday night to join the distinguished 500-rebound club. She added eight more caroms in a hard-fought 64-59 loss to William Smith in the championship game Saturday and now has 510 for her career.
Valery Broadwater (568, 1982-87) and Kathy Orsini (540, 1983-85) currently sit in eighth and ninth place, respectively.
Faust has also scored 910 career points and is on pace to become just the 11th player in FSU women's basketball history to reach the 1,000-point plateau later this month.
Frostburg State is currently 3-8 overall and 1-0 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. The Bobcats return to action on Wednesday when they host league foe Pitt-Greensburg at 6 p.m.
