Frostburg State field hockey took the sting out of the Yellow Jackets Sunday afternoon at Bobcat Field, by beating Randolph Macon 2-0.
FSU improves to 2-6 while Randolph Macon falls to 1-4.
The Bobcats and Yellow Jackets battled to a 0-0 tie going into halftime.
When both teams came out of the intermission, the Bobcats used their high energy to score two second half goals.

The second goal of the game came in the 61st minute when junior Brittney Blystone (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) attacked the right side of the field and beat a defender. She centered the ball to sophomore Aly Erickson (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) and she slammed the ball into the net.
FSU keeper Amanda Runion (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) recorded six saves to earn her first shut-out of the season. Crouch was credited with five saves in the losing effort.
The Bobcats return to the field on September 19 when they play host to St. Vincent. The game is scheduled to start at 4:30 pm.
