FROSTBURG, MD -
Frostburg State aims for its third straight win and fifth victory in the last six weeks when it visits Waynesburg College on Saturday. The Bobcats trail the all-time series with the Yellow Jackets, 22-11-1, but have won three of the last four meetings, including last year’s 36-13 Homecoming game.
FSU turned in a strong showing last Saturday, overcoming a 14-3 halftime deficit to defeat Westminster, 24-17, at Greenway Avenue Stadium in Cumberland, Md.
Junior Grant Burrough, who completed just 5-of-11 passes for 58 yards in the first half, was nearly unstoppable after hafltime, hitting 23-of-40 attempts for 288 yards and three touchdowns in the final two quarters. Burrough compiled 354 yards of total offense on the day to give him a school-record 2,434 this season.
The Bobcat defense, which allowed 203 yards in the first half, stepped up its effort after the intermission, holding Westminster to 105 total yards, six first downs and three points.
