FROSTBURG, MD -
Frostburg State looks to cap a disappointing season on Saturday when it takes on state rival Salisbury at Towson Stadium at 1:30.
At stake is the Fourth Annual Regents Cup Game title, the ACFC championship and state bragging rights for another year.
A win would be FSU's 12th over the Sea Gulls in the last 14 meetings and could also spoil Salisbury's quest for a perfect regular-season and possible bid to the NCAA Playoffs.
Last week, the Bobcats put up more impressive offensive numbers but suffered their fourth loss of the season by six points or less. FSU amassed 523 total yards, but four interceptions proved fatal as Waynesburg kicked a 35-yard field goal as time expired to escape with the win.
The Bobcats had tied it at 21 on a 93-yard touchdown pass from junior Grant Burrough to junior Anthony Long with 1:22 left, but Waynesburg picked off Burrough at the FSU 47 with 10 seconds left and used a 15-yard facemask penalty and 15-yard pass to set up the game-winning kick.
