FROSTBURG, MD —
Former Allegany High School standout Tracey Little
has transferred to Frostburg State University and will be in uniform for the Bobcat women's basketball team Thursday night when FSU hosts Villa Julie at 6 p.m.
Little, who graduated from Allegany in 2000 as the Campers' all-time leading scorer with over 1,800 points, attended West Virginia University the last three semesters but did not play basketball.
Little helped lead Allegany to the 2000 Maryland Class 1A State Championship title and earned Maryland All-State honors in both her junior and senior seasons.
"I'm glad to be getting the chance to play basketball again," said Little, a 6-0 forward who also earned three All-Area honors at Allegany. "I haven't played in a while, but I hope to have a positive impact on the team."
"Tracey's a very strong player who will play both the three and four spots for us," added Bobcat first-year head coach Jody Pepple. "She'll definitely give us another scoring threat, and we'll look to her for a lot of rebounding as well."
The Bobcats are currently 5-13 overall and 2-5 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.
