For the second straight week, four Frostburg State University student-athletes have been honored by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.
Junior Inga Olsen (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) earned her second consecutive AMCC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor after finishing 51st out of 219 runners at the Lebanon Valley Invitational on Saturday. Olsen turned in a time of 21:47.
Fellow junior Mike Replogle (Union Bridge, Md./Francis Scott Key) was named the AMCC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for his 54th-place finish out of 204 competitors at the Lebanon Valley Invitational. His time of 29:25 helped lead the Bobcats to 11th place at the 17-team meet.
Senior Christina Miserandino (Westminster, Md./Westminster) took home the AMCC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week award for her strong performance in FSU's 7-0 shutout of conference foe Pitt-Greensburg Saturday. Miserandino turned in an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles before posting a 6-2, 6-1 win at the top singles spot for the Bobcats, who are 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the AMCC.
And, freshman Lauren Petrick (Denton, Md./North Caroline) earned her first AMCC Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week honor after helping the Bobcats split four matches. Petrick averaged 15 kills and 3.5 digs on the week, and her 14 kills sparked FSU to a 3-2 win over Pitt-Bradford, extending the Bobcats' conference winning streak to 47 matches, the second-longest current run in Division III.
